Sabine Freestate Festival

Sabine Freestate Festival, is held annually the first weekend in November in the southern Sabine Parish Village of Florien.

Celebrate the period in Western Louisiana's history when this region was declared neutral ground (A Free State, 1806-1822) pending settlement of a dispute between Spain and the U.S.

Arts & crafts, games, parade, treasure hunt, pioneer demonstrations, western shoot-outs, music and local talent, kids' games and rides, old time photos, and more are part of this down-home fun festival.

Lots of events and activities will be going on during the Sabine Freestate Festival. Admission is FREE to the festival! Bring your whole family and enjoy a good time!
