The Toledo Bend Lunker Bass Program closed out its 2024-25 season on May 31 with 81 entries.
It’s not the best season on record for the 19-year-old big bass catch and release program, but it ties 2014-15 as the second best year dating back its inaugural season in 2006. The program’s best year ever was 2015-16, when anglers checked in 139 qualifying fish.
For those who are not familiar with the big bass program, here’s how it works:
It’s run by the Toledo Bend Lake Association. Between June 1 and May 31, anglers are encouraged to weigh bass of 10 pounds or more at one of eight designated check-in stations around the lake.
