Toledo Bend Army Recreation Park is located on the south end of the Toledo Bend Reservoir in Florien, approximately 45 minutes from Fort Polk. The park offers opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, camping and overnight lodging.

Overnight accommodations include one- and two-bedroom cabins, yurts, RV sites and tent sites. Cabins include central air and heat, ceiling fans, full bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens. Towels and bedding are not provided. Cabins also have individual grills and fire pits, while yurts include small grills that can be placed over the fire pits.

Visitors can enjoy the park’s beach, boat launch, fishing areas and boat rentals. Available watercraft include bass boats, pontoons, canoes and kayaks. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, and guests swim at their own risk.

The park’s store offers fishing and camping supplies, beverages, snacks, charcoal and lake attire. A small café also serves pizzas, sandwiches, wings and refreshments.

Active Duty military members, retirees, Disabled Veterans and DoD civilians may make reservations according to the eligibility and reservation policies listed on the official website. Community members may apply through the MWR Membership Program for access to lodging, camping and boating services.
